Imazamethabenz-methyl is used in combined herbicides formulations. It works by inhibiting enzyme activity of acetolactate synthase, which is involved in the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids. It is also used for screening pesticides in foods using gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
