ILEI Antibody (3A3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the ILEI protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ILEI antibody (3A3) is available as the non-conjugated format. ILEI, also known as interleukin-like Emt inducer or FAM3C (family with sequence similarity 3, member C), is a 227 amino acid protein that is ubiquitously expressed and features an amino-terminal signal peptide. ILEI (3A3) monoclonal antibody plays a crucial role in studying cellular processes, particularly in cancer biology, as ILEI is implicated in the epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT), a key event in tumor progression and metastasis. Elevated levels of ILEI are observed in oncogenic Ras-transformed mammary epithelial cells, and ILEI overexpression has been linked to the loss of tight junction protein ZO-1 and the expression of cytoplasmic E-cadherin, which together contribute to increased invasiveness and loss of cellular polarity.
