IL-22Rα1 Antibody (3-RE40) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects the IL-22R alpha 1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IL-22R alpha 1 antibody (3-RE40) is available as the non-conjugated format. IL-22Rα1 protein, also known as interleukin 22 receptor, alpha 1, is a crucial component of the immune response, functioning as a receptor for the cytokines IL-20, IL-22, and IL-24. IL-22Rα1 protein is primarily located on the surface of various cells, including those in the lung, liver, kidney, colon, and pancreas, as well as in keratinocytes of both normal and psoriatic skin. IL-22Rα1 expression on these cells is vital for mediating inflammatory responses, particularly in conditions such as chronic rhinosinusitis and multiple sclerosis, where IL-22Rα1 enhances innate immune responses. Structurally, IL-22Rα1 protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein consisting of 574 amino acids and contains two fibronectin type-III domains, which are important for interaction with other proteins and for maintaining stability and function. The gene encoding IL-22Rα1 is located on human chromosome 1p36.11, and defects in this receptor can lead to significant immune dysregulation, highlighting IL-22Rα1′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis.
