IL-12A p35 Antibody (C7.4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects interleukin-12A p35 in human samples through enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Interleukin-12A p35 is a crucial component of the heterodimeric cytokine interleukin-12, which plays a significant role in the immune response by promoting the differentiation of T helper cells and enhancing the production of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) from T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. This cytokine is secreted by various antigen-presenting cells, including phagocytes and B cells, and is vital for mediating antiviral immunity, particularly during infections caused by viruses such as Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV), and herpes simplex virus (HSV). The interleukin-12A p35 subunit is believed to be the biologically active component responsible for signal transduction through the IL-12 receptor, making interleukin-12A p35 essential for initiating and regulating immune responses. Understanding the function of interleukin-12A p35 is important for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at enhancing immune responses in various diseases, including cancer and chronic infections. Anti-IL-12A p35 antibody (C7.4) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of immune regulation and the potential therapeutic applications of interleukin-12.
