IL-12A p35 Antibody (C18.2) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects interleukin-12A p35 in mouse and rat samples through flow cytometry (FCM). IL-12A p35 is a crucial subunit of the heterodimeric cytokine interleukin-12, which plays a significant role in the immune response by promoting the differentiation of T helper cells and enhancing the production of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) from T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Various antigen-presenting cells, including phagocytes and B cells, secrete this cytokine, which is vital for mediating antiviral immunity. IL-12A p35′s importance extends beyond its role as a signaling molecule to its ability to influence immune system responses to infections, such as those caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). IL-12A p35 subunit functions as the biologically active component responsible for signal transduction through the IL-12 receptor, making anti-IL-12A p35 antibody (C18.2) an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune mechanisms and cytokine signaling pathways.
