SEE ALSO...

IgG4 Antibody (5C3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the IgG4 protein of human origin by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IgG4 antibody (5C3) is available as a non-conjugated format, specifically designed to provide reliable detection of IgG4 levels in various biological samples. IgG4 (5C3) antibody plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in modulating allergic reactions and autoimmune diseases, as IgG4 is known to inhibit the activity of other immunoglobulin subclasses. This unique function is vital because IgG4 helps to balance the immune response, preventing excessive inflammation and tissue damage. Notably, IgG4 is often associated with chronic conditions, and IgG4 levels can be indicative of certain diseases, including IgG4-related disease, which can lead to significant organ damage if left untreated. Research has shown that a significant number of patients with recurrent respiratory tract infections exhibit low concentrations of IgG4, highlighting IgG4′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis.

What is the recommended blocking solution for IgG4 (5C3): sc-69919 monoclonal antibody for ELISA?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We reommend blocking for 1-2 hours at room temperature, or overnight at 4° C with PBS containing 1% BSA and 0.02% azide to block non-specific protein binding. Please find our full ELISA protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/elisa-assays
