IGFBP5 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgA kappa light chain antibody that detects IGFBP5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IGFBP5 antibody (D-6) is available as the non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Insulin-like growth factor-binding proteins (IGFBPs) are a crucial family of proteins that not only transport insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) but also regulate their signaling pathways, thereby influencing various biological processes such as growth, development, and metabolism. Among the seven known IGFBPs, IGFBP5 is particularly significant as IGFBP5 is secreted by myoblasts and plays a vital role in muscle differentiation, which is essential for muscle development and repair. IGFBP5 interaction with IGFs modulates their bioavailability and activity, impacting muscle regeneration and overall metabolic health. Additionally, IGFBP5 expression can be influenced by various physiological conditions, making IGFBP5 a key player in the regulation of growth factor signaling in different tissues. With IGFBP5′s ability to bind IGFs and potentially exert biological effects independent of them, IGFBP5 is an important target for research in muscle biology and metabolic disorders.
