    SEE ALSO...

IFN-β Antibody (MIB-8C4.1) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects mouse IFN-β by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). IFN-β monoclonal antibody (MIB-8C4.1) is an Armenian hamster antibody raised against recombinant mouse IFN-β. IFN-β (MIB-8C4.1) antibody is available in non-conjugated form and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes. IFN-β plays a crucial role in immune response, particularly in regulating antiviral activity, making IFN-β essential for defense against viral infections. Fibroblasts and leukocytes produce IFN-β in response to viral infections and other stimuli. IFN-β activates immune cells and enhances major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecule expression, vital for recognizing and eliminating infected cells. IFN-β demonstrates antitumor properties and serves in clinical treatments for various malignancies, myelodysplastic syndromes, and autoimmune diseases. Located on human chromosome 9, IFN-β clusters with other type I interferon genes, highlighting IFN-β′s importance in immune regulation. Type I interferon receptor interacts with IFN-β through a multisubunit receptor, mediating diverse biological effects in both innate and adaptive immunity.
