IFI-16 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects IFI-16 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IFI-16 plays a significant role in immune response, particularly in viral DNA recognition, which is essential for initiating appropriate immune reactions. IFI-16 is primarily localized in the nucleus, functioning as a transcriptional regulator and modulating gene expression in response to viral infections. Nuclear localization of IFI-16 enables direct interaction with DNA and other nuclear factors, influencing transcriptional activity of genes critical for immune response. IFI-16 forms complexes with other proteins, such as myeloid cell nuclear differentiation antigen (MNDA), enhancing immune signaling pathways.
