ICAM-1 Antibody (28) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody raised against amino acids 46-160 of human ICAM-1, demonstrating reactivity with human species. Anti-ICAM-1 antibody (28) is suitable for applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). ICAM-1, also known as CD54 or intercellular adhesion molecule-1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. ICAM-1 is primarily located on the cell surface membrane of endothelial cells and immune cells, playing a crucial role in mediating cell-cell adhesion during immune responses. ICAM-1 membrane localization facilitates direct interaction with leukocyte integrins such as LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18), enabling leukocyte adhesion and transmigration across the endothelium during inflammation.
