SEE ALSO...

HYAL4 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HYAL4 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HYAL4 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HYAL4 is a member of the hyaluronidase family, which plays a critical role in the degradation of hyaluronic acid, a vital component of the extracellular matrix that maintains tissue hydration and supports cellular functions such as proliferation and differentiation. HYAL4′s ability to hydrolyze hyaluronic acid is particularly important in physiological processes, including tissue repair and inflammation, as well as in pathological conditions like cancer progression, where HYAL4 may facilitate tumor metastasis by altering the tumor microenvironment. Notably, HYAL4 is differentially expressed in tissues such as the placenta and skeletal muscle, and contains an N-glycosylation site that is essential for enzymatic activity and stability. Additionally, HYAL4 may interact with other hyaluronidases, such as HYALP1 and HYAL5, as well as Ph-20, forming complexes that could enhance functional capabilities in various biological contexts.
