SEE ALSO...

HYAL3 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HYAL3 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HYAL3 is a 417-amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the degradation of hyaluronic acid, a vital component of the extracellular matrix that contributes to tissue hydration, osmotic balance, and cellular processes such as proliferation and differentiation. The presence of hyaluronic acid is crucial for maintaining the structural integrity of cartilage and providing lubrication in joints, which underscores the importance of HYAL3 in both normal physiological functions and potential pathological conditions. Notably, HYAL3 is predominantly expressed in the testis and bone marrow, with minimal expression in other tissues, suggesting a specialized role in reproductive and hematopoietic functions. Unlike HYAL1 and HYAL2, HYAL3 has not been implicated as a tumor suppressor, as no mutations have been detected in its gene, indicating a unique functional profile within the hyaluronidase family. Anti-HYAL3 antibody (E-11) is an essential tool for researchers investigating the biological roles of hyaluronidases in health and disease.

Can HYAL3 (E-11): sc-377430 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, HYAL3 (E-11): sc-377430 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
