HSV-1 gG Antibody (H1379) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects the HSV-1 gG protein of HSV-1 origin by western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). HSV-1 gG (H1379) antibody is available as a non-conjugated anti-HSV-1 gG antibody (H1379), specifically designed to facilitate the study of the herpes simplex virus type 1. The glycoprotein G (gG) plays a crucial role in the virus′s ability to evade the host immune response and is essential for viral entry into host cells. HSV-1 gG interacts with various host cell receptors, which is vital for viral infectivity and pathogenesis. Understanding the function of gG is important not only for elucidating the mechanisms of HSV-1 infection but also for developing potential therapeutic strategies. HSV-1 gG modulates immune responses, making gG a target of interest for vaccine development and antiviral therapies. Anti-HSV-1 gG antibody (H1379) enables researchers to gain insights into the viral lifecycle and the host-pathogen interactions that contribute to the persistence and recurrence of HSV-1 infections.
