HSV-1 gC Antibody (T96) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects HSV-1 gC protein of HSV-1 origin by western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-HSV-1 gC antibody (T96) is available as the non-conjugated format. Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) is a member of the Herpesviridae family, characterized by its large double-stranded linear DNA genome encapsulated within an icosahedral capsid and surrounded by a lipid bilayer envelope. This virus is notorious for causing painful, watery blisters on the skin and mucous membranes, and is highly contagious, particularly during active outbreaks.
