SEE ALSO...

HSPB2 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSPB2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HSPB2 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSPB2, also known as heat shock 27 kDa protein 2 or MKBP, is a 182 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses, particularly in heart and skeletal muscle tissues. HSPB2 is primarily localized to mitochondria, where HSPB2 functions as an ATP-dependent chaperone, facilitating the refolding of denatured proteins and maintaining cellular homeostasis. HSPB2 interacts with the actin cytoskeleton, which is vital for cellular integrity and function, and HSPB2 has been implicated in preventing apoptotic cell death, thereby contributing to cell survival under stress conditions. HSPB2 expression is notably elevated in various cancer cell lines, indicating HSPB2′s potential role in tumorigenesis and metastasis, making HSPB2 a significant target for research in cancer biology.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with HSPB2 (F-9): sc-514154 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
