HoxB7 Antibody (747C4a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HoxB7 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-HoxB7 antibody (747C4a) is available as a non-conjugated format. HoxB7 protein is crucial for proper embryonic development and cellular differentiation, as HoxB7 regulates the expression of downstream target genes essential for establishing the anterior-posterior body axis. Located within the mammalian HOX gene complex, which comprises 39 genes spread across four chromosomes, HoxB7 plays a significant role in directing DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions that shape morphologic features during development. A segment of the HoxB7 proximal promoter is responsible for renal expression, specifically in the ureteric bud and collecting ducts, highlighting HoxB7′s importance in kidney development. Studies have shown that HoxB7 expression levels are significantly lower in lymph node metastasis-positive cancer tissues compared to negative ones, suggesting that dysregulation of HOX genes, including HoxB7, may contribute to the progression of breast cancer and aggressive behavior of cancer cells.
