SEE ALSO...

HoxA4 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects HoxA4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HoxA4 antibody (H-4) is available as the non-conjugated form. HoxA4, also known as homeobox A4, is a crucial transcriptional regulator consisting of 320 amino acids and is primarily located in the nucleus, where HoxA4 contains a homeobox DNA-binding domain. HoxA4 is essential for embryonic development, particularly in nervous system formation, acting as a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor that helps establish positional identities in developing cells. HoxA4′s ability to bind to specific DNA sequences is vital for regulating gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation, processes fundamental to proper embryonic development. HoxA4 is situated on human chromosome 7, a region harboring over 1,000 genes and accounting for nearly 5% of the human genome. Mutations or defects in genes on this chromosome have been associated with various developmental disorders, including Osteogenesis imperfecta and Williams-Beuren syndrome, highlighting HoxA4′s importance in maintaining normal developmental pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515418 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
