QUICK LINKS

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP), RZ 1.0 is a heme-containing enzyme used in biochemical and proteomics research. Frequently conjugated to immunoglobulins. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) utilizes hydrogen peroxide to oxidize a wide variety of substrates including Luminol sodium salt (sc-218662). benzidine (sc-214583), DAB (3-3′ diaminobenzidine tetrachloride, sc-24982) and TMP (tetramethylbenzidine, sc-208442). This oxidation reaction gives rise to a color change, thereby identifying the target molecule in a variety of assays such as Western blotting, ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
