hnRNP A2/B1 Antibody (DP3B3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects hnRNP A2 and hnRNP B1 proteins of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-hnRNP A2/B1 antibody (DP3B3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) play a crucial role in mRNA metabolism, including transcription, pre-mRNA processing, and mature mRNA transport to the cytoplasm for translation. hnRNP A2 and hnRNP B1 regulate pre-mRNA splicing by influencing splice site selection and modulating splicing factor activity. This regulation is vital for producing functional mRNA, as improper splicing can generate non-functional or deleterious proteins that may contribute to various diseases. The A/B subfamily of hnRNPs, including hnRNP A1, A2/B1, A3, and A0, predominantly localizes in the nucleus, though some members shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm, highlighting their dynamic role in gene expression regulation. Understanding hnRNP A2/B1 function and interactions within the spliceosome remains essential for elucidating gene regulation complexities and potential disease implications.
