HLA-DPα1 Antibody (NB-A3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the HLA-DP alpha 1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HLA-DP alpha 1 antibody (NB-A3) is available as the non-conjugated format. HLA-DP alpha 1 protein is a crucial component of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which play a vital role in the immune response by presenting processed antigens to CD4+ T helper cells. This interaction is essential for the activation of T cells and the subsequent orchestration of adaptive immune responses. HLA-DP alpha 1 protein is primarily located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, such as B cells and dendritic cells, where HLA-DP alpha 1 forms a heterodimer with the beta chain, facilitating the presentation of peptide antigens derived from extracellular proteins. Proper functioning of HLA-DP alpha 1 is critical for immune surveillance and the maintenance of immune tolerance, as HLA-DP alpha 1 helps the immune system distinguish between self and non-self antigens. Dysregulation or mutations in the genes encoding HLA-DP can lead to autoimmune diseases and affect the body′s ability to mount an effective immune response.
