    HIPK1 Antibody (SR-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HIPK1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HIPK1 antibody (SR-5) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. The Homeodomain-Interacting Protein Kinase 1 (HIPK1) is a member of the HIPK family, which also includes HIPK2 and HIPK3, and these proteins are known for their roles as evolutionarily conserved nuclear serine/threonine kinases that interact with homeoproteins. HIPK1, a 1210 amino acid protein, is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart tissues, highlighting its significance in muscle function and cardiac health. HIPK1 is crucial for regulating various cellular processes, including transcriptional regulation and chromatin modification, and may act as a corepressor for homeodomain transcription factors. Notably, HIPK1 is involved in post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, which can influence its activity and interactions with other proteins, including Daxx, particularly in response to cellular stress. The presence of four isoforms resulting from alternative splicing events further underscores the complexity and regulatory potential of HIPK1 in various biological contexts, including its suggested involvement in malignant squamous cell tumor formation.
