    SEE ALSO...

Hint2 Antibody (AT5B10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Hint2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Hint2 antibody (AT5B10) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Hint2, also known as histidine triad nucleotide binding protein 2 or HIT-17, is a 163 amino acid secreted protein characterized by the presence of a HIT domain, which is crucial for catalytic activity toward the α-phosphate of ribonucleotides. This enzymatic function plays a role in nucleotide metabolism, influencing various cellular processes such as energy production and signal transduction. Hint2 is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 9, a region comprising 4% of the human genome and containing nearly 900 genes, with associations to several genetic disorders, including hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia and familial dysautonomia. Chromosome 9 contains the largest cluster of interferon family genes and participates in translocations with chromosome 22, leading to BCR-ABL fusion protein formation commonly implicated in certain leukemias. Hint2′s interaction with various cellular pathways underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and highlights anti-Hint2 antibody (AT5B10)′s relevance in research and diagnostic applications.
