Hexetidine, mixture of stereoisomers is an antibacterial and antifungal agent. Hexetidine, mixture of stereoisomers is a colorless liquid with a faint odor, exhibiting solubility in both water and alcohol. Its bacteriostatic properties have been demonstrated through the inhibition of bacterial growth. Hexetidine achieves this by binding to the cell walls of bacteria, effectively impeding the synthesis of new cell walls. Consequently, the bacteria are unable to sustain their growth, ultimately leading to their demise.
