Studies have reported negative surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization (SALDI) mass spectra of hexadecafluorosebacic acid. Furthermore, this compound can serve as a dopant in the synthesis of three-dimensional boxlike microstructures assembled from 1D-nanofibers of polyaniline (PANI).
