HES4 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HES4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HES4 (D-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HES4 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family, which plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation during embryonic development, particularly in the Notch signaling pathway. This pathway is essential for proper segmentation and neural development, influencing cell fate decisions and maintaining the balance between differentiation and proliferation. HES4, along with other HES family members, forms complexes with TLE proteins, which are mammalian homologues of the Drosophila Groucho protein, to repress transcription by binding to specific DNA sequences. HES4 is involved in myogenesis and neurogenesis regulation, making HES4 a significant player in developmental biology. HES4 expression is observed in various adult and embryonic tissues, highlighting HES4′s importance in both developmental processes and potential implications in various diseases.
