QUICK LINKS

Heptachlor epoxide ,aslo know as Epoxyheptachlor, is an organochlorine insecticide that functions by disrupting the insect′s nervous system. It binds to the insect′s nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR), thereby impeding the function of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This interference leads to the paralysis and subsequent death of the insect.
