SEE ALSO...

Hep C E1 Antibody (1879) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Hep C E1 protein of Hep C origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-Hep C E1 antibody (1879) is available as a non-conjugated format. Hep C E1 protein is a crucial component of the hepatitis C virus, a small, enveloped, single-stranded, positive-sense RNA virus belonging to the Flaviviridae family. Hep C E1 protein plays a significant role in virus entry into host cells through E1E2 heterodimer formation, which enables viral entry and fusion with host cell membranes. Hep C E1 protein′s structure, characterized by transmembrane domains, facilitates proper folding and stability of the E1E2 complex, enhancing viral infectivity. Understanding Hep C E1 protein is important for developing therapeutic strategies and vaccines against hepatitis C, as this target for neutralizing antibodies plays a key role in viral life cycles. Hep C infection can lead to severe health complications, including chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma, making Hep C E1 protein study and interactions critical for public health.
