    SEE ALSO...

Hdf1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Hdf1 protein of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Hdf1 (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Hdf1 protein, also known as Ku-70, is crucial for maintaining telomere length, which is vital for genomic stability and cellular longevity. Hdf1 forms a heterodimer with Ku-80, and together these proteins bind to double-stranded DNA breaks, facilitating DNA repair processes and protecting telomeres from degradation. This protective role is essential in preventing chromosomal end-to-end fusions and ensuring proper cell division. Additionally, Hdf1 interacts with several proteins, including the transcription regulator Rap1, which is involved in telomere position effect silencing and the regulation of adjacent gene expression. The role of Hdf1 in these critical cellular processes underscores its importance in maintaining the integrity of the yeast genome, making anti-Hdf1 antibody (C-10) a valuable tool for researchers studying telomere biology and DNA repair mechanisms.
