HBSS, 10X is a concentrated formula of Hank′s Balanced Salt Solution. HBSS, 10X can be used in an assortment of cell culture applications, such as diluting cells for counting, preparing reagents, transporting cells or tissues, as well as washing cells before dissociation. HBSS, 10X provides a buffering system to maintain the physiological pH range and osmotic balance of the culturing media. HBSS, 10X also provides a soure of water, essential inorganic ions, and carbohydrates for the cell or tissue culture. HBSS, 10X is also known as Hanks′ Balanced Salt Solution.
