HAUSP Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HAUSP (herpesvirus-associated ubiquitin-specific protease, USP7) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HAUSP plays a critical role in the regulation of p53, a key tumor suppressor protein, by deubiquitinating p53, which is essential for p53 stabilization and function. This interaction is particularly important because p53 is a crucial player in cellular responses to stress, DNA damage, and oncogenic signals, thereby influencing cell cycle regulation and apoptosis. HAUSP can stabilize p53 even in the presence of excess Mdm2, an E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets p53 for degradation, underscoring HAUSP′s significance in cancer biology and therapeutic strategies. HAUSP is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where HAUSP forms a micropunctate pattern and associates with ND10 nuclear structures, which are involved in various cellular processes, including the response to viral infections and oncogenesis. The gene encoding HAUSP is located on human chromosome band 16p13.2, highlighting HAUSP′s evolutionary conservation and relevance across species.
