    SEE ALSO...

Hantavirus NC Antibody (HN-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Hantavirus with specific reactivity through western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Hantavirus antibody (HN-2) recognizes the nucleocapsid protein, a key component of Hantavirus belonging to the bunyaviridae family. Hantavirus contains a negative-sensed, single-stranded RNA genome comprising three segments: small (S), medium (M), and large (L). The nucleocapsid protein, encoded by the S segment, encapsulates viral RNA and facilitates transcription. This nucleocapsid protein interacts with viral glycoproteins G1 and G2, enabling host cell entry and viral assembly. Proper nucleocapsid protein function supports viral replication, transcription, and overall pathogenesis. Hantavirus causes severe diseases including Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS) and Hantavirus (Cardio-)Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS or HCPS), making nucleocapsid protein research crucial for understanding pathogenic mechanisms and developing therapeutic strategies.
