    SEE ALSO...

H3-K9-HMTase Antibody (LD87) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects H3-K9-HMTase protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-H3-K9-HMTase antibody (LD87) is available as non-conjugated format. H3-K9-HMTase, also known as histone-lysine N-methyltransferase SETDB2, is a crucial 719 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene SETDB2, which plays a significant role in epigenetic regulation. H3-K9-HMTase (LD87) antibody targets a protein primarily located in the nucleus that methylates lysine 9 on histone H3, a modification pivotal for gene silencing and chromatin structure. This modification influences recruitment of various effector proteins that further regulate gene expression, impacting cellular processes such as differentiation and development. H3-K9-HMTase shows ubiquitous expression, with highest levels in heart, testis, and ovary, highlighting its importance in both reproductive and cardiac functions. Understanding H3-K9-HMTase′s role in these tissues provides insights into developmental biology and potential implications in diseases related to epigenetic dysregulation.

I am using H3-K9-HMTase (LD87): sc-130475 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
