H2-Dk Antibody (15-5-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects H2-Dk protein of mouse origin by flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-H2-Dk antibody (15-5-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), providing flexibility for different experimental needs. H2-Dk protein is a crucial component of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules, which play a vital role in the immune response by presenting endogenous peptides to cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). Located on the surface of nearly all nucleated cells, H2-Dk protein is essential for the recognition of infected or malignant cells by the immune system, thereby facilitating targeted immune responses. The structure of H2-Dk, which consists of a heavy chain and a light chain (β2-microglobulin), allows for effective binding and presentation of a diverse array of peptide antigens, influencing T cell activation and differentiation. Understanding the structural nuances of H2-Dk protein is important for developing immunotherapies and vaccines, as these features can impact the efficacy of T cell-mediated responses against various diseases.
