    SEE ALSO...

H2-Db Antibody (27-11-13) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects H2-Db, a class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigen of mouse origin, by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). H2-Db (27-11-13) antibody is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. The H2 gene complex encodes MHC Class I molecules, which are crucial for the immune response as they present endogenously synthesized peptides to CD8+ T lymphocytes, typically cytotoxic T cells. The structure of H2-Db consists of a highly polymorphic alpha chain that forms a heterodimer with the invariant beta-2 microglobulin, allowing for a diverse range of peptide presentation. This structural diversity is essential for the immune system′s ability to recognize and respond to a wide array of pathogens. H2-Db expression on most nucleated cells varies by cell type, influencing the activation or inhibition of natural killer (NK) cells and playing a critical role in the positive and negative selection of CD8+ T cells during thymic development. Understanding H2-Db function and structure is vital for elucidating its role in immune regulation and potential implications in immunotherapy and transplantation.

How can H2-Db (27-11-13): sc-52540 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Cweed
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-52540 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-52540 FITC).
