QUICK LINKS

Grifolic acid is a naturally occurring compound found in various plants, including the Grifola frondosa mushroom. As a relatively recent discovery, the full scope of grifolic acid′s potential is still under investigation. Grifolic acid appears to operate through several mechanisms, demonstrating the ability to modulate the expression of inflammatory mediators, such as cytokines and chemokines. It has also been observed to influence the expression of cell surface receptors, including toll-like receptors and adhesion molecules. Additionally, grifolic acid is believed to affect the activity of enzymes participating in signal transduction pathways, like protein kinases and phosphatases.
