GPx-1/2 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GPx-1/2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GPx-1/2 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) enzymes, which include GPx-1 and GPx-2, are crucial for cellular protection against oxidative damage, as these enzymes catalyze the reduction of lipid hydroperoxides to alcohols and convert free hydrogen peroxide into water, thereby preventing lipid peroxidation of cell membranes.
