QUICK LINKS

Glafenine hydrochloride functions as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAI) in experimental applications. It exerts its mechanism of action by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, COX-1 and COX-2, which are involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid. By blocking the activity of these enzymes, Glafenine hydrochloride interferes with the production of prostaglandins, which are important mediators of inflammation, pain, and fever. Glafenine Hydrochloride′s mechanism of action involves the reversible binding to the active site of COX enzymes, thereby preventing the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. As a result, Glafenine hydrochloride is able to modulate the inflammatory response and reduce pain sensation in experimental models.
