    SEE ALSO...

Gcap14 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Gcap14 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Gcap14 antibody (C-4) is available as the non-conjugated form. Gcap14, also known as FAM190B (family with sequence similarity 190, member B), is an 834 amino acid protein that exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms and belongs to the FAM190 family. Gcap14 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of cell cycle progression and apoptosis, making Gcap14 essential for maintaining normal cellular function and preventing uncontrolled cell growth. The gene encoding Gcap14 is located on human chromosome 10q23.1, which spans nearly 135 million base pairs and encodes approximately 1,200 genes, including those involved in various critical biological functions. Notably, defects in genes on chromosome 10 have been linked to several genetic disorders, underscoring the importance of Gcap14 in health and disease. Anti-Gcap14 antibody (C-4) serves as an invaluable tool for scientists studying the intricate roles of Gcap14 in various biological contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393718 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
