SEE ALSO...

GAPDH-2 Antibody (2E3-2E10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GAPDH-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GAPDH-2 (2E3-2E10) antibody is offered in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental design. Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the reversible oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, a key step in glycolysis that generates energy in the form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). Beyond energy metabolism, GAPDH is involved in various cellular processes, including DNA repair and transcriptional regulation, highlighting GAPDH′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. GAPDH expression is often upregulated in various cancers, including liver, lung, and prostate cancers. During apoptosis, GAPDH translocates to the nucleus, where GAPDH interacts with proteins associated with neurodegenerative disorders, such as the beta-amyloid precursor and Huntingtin, further underscoring GAPDH′s multifaceted role in both normal physiology and disease.
