    SEE ALSO...

γD-crystallin Antibody (SB-18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects γD-crystallin of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-γD-crystallin antibody (SB-18) is available as the non-conjugated format. γD-crystallin plays a crucial role in maintaining the transparency and refractive index of the vertebrate eye lens, which is essential for proper vision. γD-crystallin (SB-18) monoclonal antibody is part of the crystallin family, which is vital for lens structure and function, and exists primarily as a monomer, lacking connecting peptides and terminal extensions found in other crystallins. The unique structure of γD-crystallin, characterized by seven homologous motifs, allows effective contribution to the lens′s optical properties. Alterations in the expression or structure of γD-crystallin can lead to cataract formation, highlighting its significance in ocular health. Anti-γD-crystallin antibody (SB-18) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying lens biology, cataractogenesis, and the molecular mechanisms underlying vision.
