FRA10AC1 Antibody (732.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FRA10AC1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FRA10AC1 antibody (732.1) is available as the non-conjugated format. FRA10AC1 protein, also known as C10orf4 (chromosome 10 open reading frame 4), is a crucial 315 amino acid nuclear protein predominantly expressed in kidney, liver, heart, brain, and skeletal muscle. Nuclear localization of FRA10AC1 plays a vital role in regulating gene expression and cellular responses to stress. Defects in C10orf4 can lead to an expansion of a polymorphic CGG repeat within the 5′-untranslated region, associated with expression of the folate-sensitive fragile site FRA10A. Aberrant expression of FRA10A has been linked to various health issues, including tumorigenesis, neurological disorders, and mental retardation. C10orf4 is conserved across species, highlighting fundamental biological importance. FRA10AC1 exists in five isoforms, all resulting from alternative splicing events that alter C-termini, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
