QUICK LINKS

FPL-64176 is a nondihydropyridine Ca2+ channel activator whose effects differs in some respects from the 1,4-dihydropyridine group of agonists. It may act to enhance contractility and prolong action potential duration in guinea pig papillary muscle. Additionally, it was found to increase Ca2+ current amplitude. Moreover, it has been reported to weakly inhibit (+)-[3H]PN 200-110, [3H]D888, and [3H]TA-3090 binding in rat cardiac membranes.
