FP-Biotin is a biotinylated organophosphorus agent that may be useful in identifying proteins that react with organophosphorus toxicants (OP). It is a small molecule that is composed of a biotin molecule attached to a fluorescent dye, fluorescein. FP-biotin has a wide range of applications in scientific research, as it can be used for labeling, imaging, and detection of molecules. It is also used in a variety of laboratory experiments, such as protein purification, enzyme assays, and DNA sequencing. Common techniques it is used in are western blotting, ELISA, and affinity chromatography.
