FOXRED2 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FOXRED2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXRED2 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FOXRED2 protein, also known as FAD-dependent oxidoreductase domain containing 2, is a 684 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by participating in the electron transport chain, which is essential for ATP production. This function is vital for maintaining cellular energy levels and overall cellular health, as disruptions in energy metabolism can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic syndromes. The gene encoding FOXRED2 is located on human chromosome 22, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and neurofibromatosis type 2. Mutations in genes on this chromosome can have significant implications for human health, making the study of FOXRED2 and its interactions critical for understanding these conditions.
