FOXM1 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect all isoforms of FOXM1 across mouse, rat, and human species using applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FOXM1 antibody (A-11) targets an epitope mapping between amino acids 737-763 at the C-terminus of human FOXM1, ensuring precise binding and reliable detection. Forkhead box M1 (FOXM1), also called FKHL16, HFH11, INS-1, and PIG29, is a critical transcription factor located predominantly in the nucleus of proliferating cells, where FOXM1 plays an essential role in regulating the expression of genes involved in cell cycle progression, particularly the transition from G1 to S phase and mitotic entry by activating key cell cycle regulators like cyclin B1, cyclin D1, and Cdc25B. Nuclear localization of FOXM1 is vital for controlling cellular proliferation, DNA replication, and repair processes, making FOXM1 a key player in maintaining normal cell growth and tissue regeneration. Dysregulation of FOXM1, often resulting in overexpression, is closely associated with various cancers, as FOXM1 can lead to uncontrolled cell division and tumor progression. Additionally, FOXM1 undergoes alternative splicing to produce isoforms such as FOXM1A and FOXM1B, which have distinct roles in protein stability and function, influencing processes like cellular aging and hepatocyte DNA replication. FOXM1 monoclonal antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated form and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for diverse experimental needs. FOXM1 (A-11) antibody enables researchers to effectively investigate the intricate mechanisms of FOXM1 in both normal and pathological states, facilitating advancements in understanding and targeting proliferative diseases.

How should the blocking peptide sc-271746 P be used?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended to be used as a negative control by preadsorbing the FOXM1 (A-11): sc-271746 monoclonal antibody with it prior to application. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
