FOXL1 Antibody (40-M) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FOXL1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-FOXL1 antibody (40-M) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. FOXL1, consisting of 337 amino acids, is encoded by the mouse gene Foxl1 and belongs to the forkhead family, characterized by a distinct forkhead DNA-binding domain. This family of transcription factors plays crucial roles in various biological processes, including development and cellular differentiation. FOXL1 functions as a winged helix transcriptional regulator expressed in the mesenchymal layer of both developing and mature gastrointestinal tract. FOXL1 maintains gut-associated structures, such as Peyer′s patches, which are essential for immune response in the small intestine. FOXL1-deficient mice exhibit significant defects in the epithelial layer of the gastrointestinal tract and gut-associated lymphoid tissues, highlighting FOXL1′s critical role in gastrointestinal health and tumorigenesis. Additionally, FOXL1 acts as a mesenchymal modifier of the Adenomatous Polyposis Coli (APC) gene products, underscoring FOXL1′s importance in gastrointestinal tumor development.

I am using FOXL1 (40-M): sc-130373 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
