SEE ALSO...

FosB Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 75-150 of human FosB, a crucial transcription factor that regulates cellular responses to diverse stimuli. Anti-FosB antibody (F-7) recognizes an epitope within this region and demonstrates broad species cross-reactivity, detecting FosB in mouse, rat, and human samples through Western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. As a nuclear phosphoprotein, FosB undergoes sophisticated regulation through post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, which fine-tunes FosB′s stability, subcellular localization, and ability to form complexes with Jun family proteins. These modifications prove essential for FosB′s capacity to bind TPA response elements (TREs) in DNA, enabling precise control of genes involved in proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Through this intricate regulatory network responding to growth factors, stress signals, and other molecular cues, FosB serves as a critical coordinator of transcriptional responses. Through these diverse cellular functions, FosB (F-7) antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating transcriptional regulation and cellular homeostasis mechanisms.

Qué tal, quisiera saber si este anticuerpo sc-398595 es funcional en inmunohistoquímica por flotación y si está disponible en México, ojalá pudiera responder en calidad de urgente. Gracias

Asked by: DaniVelarde

Can Fos B Antibody (F-7) sc-398595 be used to detect DeltaFosB protein in rat tissue?

Asked by: Marcelo
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately this antibody has not been epitope mapped, so I am not sure if it can or can not detect Delta FosB. Please contact our Technical Service Department by phone, e-mail or live chat.

Can Fos B (F-7): sc-398595 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Fos B (F-7): sc-398595 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IF and Western blot can not be useI used anti-FosB (F-7) to do IF and WB,and tested several dilution (1:50, 1:200, 1:500). But I had no any positive results. I had negative and positive control in my experiments. IF: only cytoplasms have off-target immunostaining. WB: only have 116 kDa bands

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I didn't get positive signal1month ago, I got the 10ul antibody sample. Then, I tested it by gradient like 1:200, 1:500 and 1:1000. But I didn't get positive signal on my brain slices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FosB antibody (F7): sc-398595I got the sample of this antibody a couple weeks ago. I am glad to test it in 4%PFA fixed brain sections using immunofluerence method. It work very well at the concentration 1:100 and 1:500. However, I did not get the positive data when I used it in immunohistochemistry by DAB staining. I'll will try a different secondary antibody to test whether it can work by DAB staining.
