Fomblin-YR (H-Vac) (also known as Fomblin YR-H-Vac when used in high-vacuum applications) is a type of perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) lubricant or grease that is used for a variety of high-performance applications. Fomblin-YR (H-Vac) and similar products are typically characterized by their chemical inertness, thermal stability, low vapor pressure, and non-flammability. In the case of Fomblin-YR (H-Vac), this version is specifically designed for use in high-vacuum applications such as vacuum pumps, where low vapor pressure is particularly important.
