Folic Acid Antibody (FA1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Folic Acid protein of non-species reactive by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Folic Acid antibody (FA1) is available as the non-conjugated format. Folic acid, also known as Vitamin B9, is crucial for various cellular functions, particularly in DNA synthesis and repair. Folic acid plays a vital role in nucleotide production, which are DNA building blocks, and is essential during rapid cell division and growth, such as during pregnancy and fetal development. Folic acid′s importance extends beyond cellular health, linking to neural tube defect prevention in developing embryos and highlighting significance in maternal health. Folate participates in several metabolic processes, including homocysteine to methionine conversion, which supports cardiovascular health. Folate deficiency can lead to serious health issues, including megaloblastic anemia and increased cancer risks, making Folic Acid detection and quantification critical for clinical and research applications.
