SEE ALSO...

FMO1 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FMO1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FMO1 antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FMO1, also known as dimethylaniline oxidase 1, plays a crucial role in the oxidative metabolism of xenobiotics, such as drugs and pesticides, by catalyzing the N-oxygenation of secondary and tertiary amines. This enzymatic activity is vital for detoxifying harmful compounds and facilitating their excretion from the body, thereby contributing to the maintenance of homeostasis and protection against potential toxic effects. FMO1 is primarily localized to the microsome and endoplasmic reticulum membranes, with expression observed in the liver of human fetuses, which diminishes shortly after birth, while continuing in the adult kidney and, to a lesser extent, in the intestine. In contrast, in other mammals, FMO1 expression persists in the liver postnatally. The gene encoding FMO1 is located on chromosome 1q24.3, and proper function is essential for the metabolic processing of various therapeutic agents, underscoring its importance in pharmacology and toxicology.

使用抗体进行WB实验时,发现在55-70kD区间内有两个条带,近70kD的条带更亮一些,但理论上55kD附近的条带与说明书上的描述更为符合。请问是否认为70kD条带为无效条带?

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376924 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
